TALLAHASSEE, Fla (FLV) – An account associated with Gov. Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign slammed former President Donald Trump over his personnel hires during his first term as president.

In a tweet, the DeSantis War Room said that “Trump has learned nothing” in regard to his staffing picks.

“He surrounded himself with people like Christopher Wray, Anthony Fauci, and Kim Kardashian,” they said.

The tweet came in response to Trump’s recent Fox News interview in which he pledged to hire “really great, strong people” if granted a second term.

DeSantis’ team also sent out a video of chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, in which the general says “I do want to understand white rage.”

“And this is the person Trump made his Joint Chiefs of Staff,” the account said.

Additionally, the account posted a video compilation of the officials Trump hired that are now frequently criticized by conservatives and the former president.

The video included officials such as FBI Director Chris Wray, National Security Advisor John Bolton and Milley.

DeSantis is set to campaign in Augusta, South Carolina on Thursday after campaigning in California.

It was Trump’s first interview since he pled not guilty to 37 charges, several of which fall under the Espionage Act of 1917, in a federal classified documents probe.
