TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (FLV) – Gov. Ron DeSantis criticized President Joe Biden for not extending an invitation to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to visit the White House.

DeSantis, running for president, slammed Biden for meeting with “dictators” yet refusing to meet with a supposed ally.

“Biden meets with dictators of countries such as Venezuela but snubs the democratically elected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,” DeSantis said on Twitter. “This is not how you should treat an ally.”

Biden’s decision not to invite Netanyahu to Washington faced significant criticism, with former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman describing it as “despicable” in a recent interview with JNS.

Thomas Nides, the outgoing U.S. Ambassador to Israel, voiced his apprehensions regarding Netanyahu’s proposed reforms to the country’s judicial system.

Nides disclosed that he had advised the prime minister to exercise caution and adopt a more deliberate approach.

“I think most Israelis want the United States to be in their business,” the ambassador claimed.

DeSantis called the comment from Nides “disrespectful” and “false.”

The governor will appear at an upcoming presidential primary forum on July 18 hosted by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
