NASHVILLE, Tenn. (FLV) – Gov. Ron DeSantis will head to Nashville to speak at the Tennessee Republican Party’s 46th annual Statesman’s Dinner this week.

The event will be held at the Nashville Music City Center this coming Saturday with ticket prices starting at $300.

According to an email obtained by Main Street Media, the event aims to “recognize the volunteers that have turned the State of Tennessee from a Democrat stronghold to a bright red, conservative Republican beacon.”

The party released a video promotion for the annual dinner in which clips of riots, transgenders in sports, inflation, and other social issues.

The video showed clips of DeSantis during his re-election victory speech.

“We chose facts over fear, we chose law and order over rioting and disorder,” DeSantis said in the video. “Freedom is here to stay.”

Notably absent from the event will be the governor’s chief opponent and Republican primary frontrunner, former President Donald Trump.

Trump attended a UFC fight over the weekend and held a well-attended rally for campaign volunteers in Las Vegas.

The former president is expected to attend an Alabama State GOP event in the coming weeks, according to AP News.
