MIAMI (FLV) – Former President Donald Trump says Republican U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio has taken an 11 point lead in his run against Democrat U.S. Rep. Val Demings, crediting his announcement of an upcoming rally with Rubio in Florida.

“Wow, Senator Marco Rubio has taken an 11 point lead in his run against a weak on crime Radical Left Impeacher, someone who is incapable of doing the job that needs to be done, since we announced the Big Rally for him on the following Sunday (November 6th) in Miami,” Trump said on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Trump said Rubio “deserves to win, and win BIG. See you at the Rally!!!”

It was previously announced that Trump is rallying with Rubio in Miami on Nov. 6, two days before the Nov. 8 election.

The rally will take place at 5 p.m. EST.

The “Get Out the Vote Rally” is part of a pre-election tour across the country.

The race in Florida is not particularly competitive, most polls show, in comparison to other states like Arizona, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. Rubio leads by an average of 7.4 points.

Rubio and Demings took to the stage in a fiery debate last week as they battle for a U.S. Senate seat.
