LIBERTY COUNTY, Fla. (FLV) – Liberty County flipped from blue to red, now having more registered Republican voters than Democrats.

“Another county has flipped from Blue to Red thanks to Florida’s strong Conservative Pro-Freedom leadership and our voter registration efforts across the state,” the Florida GOP Tweeted.

According to Liberty County’s election website, Republicans are leading with 1,969 registered voters. Democrats in the county are at 1,967 registered voters and there are 476 registered under the “other” category.

In recent news from Sarasota County, there are more “other” political affiliation registered voters than registered Democrat voters as of April 12.

Florida GOP Chairman Christian Ziegler pointed out on social media that those registered under “other” have become the second largest voting block by party status in the county.

“Even MORE proof that Floridians are NOT buying the radical agenda that the Democrats are selling!” Ziegler said.

According to the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections website, there are 100,548 registered Democrat voters, 156,858 registered Republican voters and 100,643 registered “other” voters.

During the November general election, a red tsunami swept across Florida.

To the disarray of Florida Democrats, Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Republican Party of Florida successfully flipped traditionally Democrat-heavy or Democrat-leaning counties across the Sunshine State, in some cases by double digit margins.

Following the election, the Florida Democratic Party elected former Agriculture Commissioner and gubernatorial candidate Nikki Fried to serve as its leader.

The Republican Party of Florida recently launched the “Blue County Strategy Committee,” which will be laser focused on “picking off” Democrat-held seats at every level of government.

“Governor DeSantis set the bar high – winning 62 of 67 counties in Florida – but our job is not done until we win the other five counties are red and there are no Democrats in office or considering running for office in the State of Florida,” Ziegler said.

Florida’s Republican Party also launched the “Early Vote Operations Committee” with 15 county leaders that will be focused solely on early voting.

Ziegler announced the committee will focus on vote-by-mail and early in-person voting.

“News out of Wisconsin tonight is that we lost the vital Supreme Court seat due to Democrats outperforming us in Early Voting… That isn’t going to happen in Florida,” Ziegler said.

“We are going to aggressively go after every ballot and bank votes as soon as possible,” he said.
