MIAM – NBC News announced it will host the third 2024 Republican presidential primary debate on Nov. 8 in Miami.

The debate is slated to take place at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

It will air from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET.

The previous two debates were hosted by Fox, and for those, the requirements were not as strict as they are for the third debate:

  • Minimum of 70,000 unique donors
  • Minimum of 4% in two national polls OR in one national poll and one early-state poll – approved by the RNC
  • Sign a pledge to support the party’s nominee

The debate will be streamed by NBC, and again on Rumble.

For polling, according to major polls aggregated by RealClearPolitics, which is not all-encompassing, the candidates that have hit 4% in at least two recent national polls include: Gov. Ron DeSantis, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, former Vice President Mike Pence, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott.

For the last debate, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson was one candidate who did not qualify for the second debate after previously attending the first one.

As it stands, DeSantis is still a distant national second to former President Donald Trump, who has not attended any of the debates. DeSantis is followed by Haley and Ramaswamy.

Trump’s team has called for the GOP to stop the 2024 primary debates and focus on defeating Democrats next year.
