PALM BAY, Fla. – Rep. Randy Fine, R-Palm Bay, said Monday that Captains for Clean Water, an environmentalist group in Florida, should return thousands of dollars given to them by Patagonia after it was revealed the clothing company has given over $139,000 linked to Palestinian terrorism.

“I wouldn’t accept money from a group that funds #MuslineTerror,” Fine said. “Neither should Captains for Clean Water,” Fine said. #ReturnAway

Fine shared his remarks after it was picked up by Florida’s Voice CEO Brendon Leslie.

“My question for [Captains for Clean Water] Daniel Andrews and [Co-founder] Chris Wittmann: Are you so desperate for money that you’re willing to take it from an organization that hates Jewish people. Or are you willing to do the right thing and return that tainted cash,” Leslie said on Florida’s Voice with Brendon Leslie.

First reported by the Washington Examiner, Patagonia has given thousands to Alliance for Global Justice, which is reportedly linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – a terrorist group that has its targets set on Israel.

Captains for Clean Water also received $15,000 from Patagonia in 2023, according to online records. It also received $30,000 in 2018, bringing the total received to $45,000.

Fine, who represents House District 33, has been one of the Legislature’s biggest supporters of Israel since it was attacked by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023. He also recently called on the state’s board of dentistry to suspend the license of a Muslim dentist who purportedly called for the “murder of Florida’s Jews.”

Fine also praised Gov. Ron DeSantis after he signed his $20 million initiative that gave more funding for Jewish day school security in May.

Fine is seeking the Senate District 19 seat and his campaign has been endorsed by multiple Republican figures in Florida politics, including former President Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. Rick Scott and Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson.
