WASHINGTON, D.C. – Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott said President Joe Biden is responsible for heinous crimes by illegal aliens as one has reportedly been arrested for the rape of a minor in Massachusetts.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, arrested a Colombian illegal for the crime after he was previously let go by local authorities, Fox News Digital reported.

The man had originally been stopped in 2022 for illegally entering the country, but was soon released and told to appear in court. The man had been arrested in January for the purported rape.

“This is horrific,” Scott said. “Biden’s open border policies are 100% to blame. @POTUS is responsible for every crime committed by someone he’s let illegally enter our country.”

“Criminals, predators & human traffickers don’t belong on our streets,” he said. “SECURE THE BORDER!”

In January, ICE’s request for law enforcement to hold the man was reportedly not honored by local authorities – in this instance, Essex County’s sheriff’s office.

The man was then arrested again in March.

Rick Scott demands answers on ‘secret’ Biden migrant flight program

Scott has been going after the Biden administration over its policies on immigration, most recently demanding clarity regarding purported flights coming into Florida with thousands of illegals.

“I will not allow Biden to put Floridians in danger by flying unvetted illegal aliens into our state,” Scott said.

Scott demanded answers following a report by the Center for Immigration Studies that said the bulk of the 386,000 illegal immigrants permitted to fly to interior U.S. airports as part of the parole and release admissions program have been directed to Florida.

The senator sent a letter of concern on March 13 to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

The Florida senator is slated for his reelection bid this November. His prime opponent is Democrat Debbie Mucarsel-Powell.

The Cook Political Report has rated Scott’s seat is “likely Republican,” similar to Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz’ seat.
