WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., called for the all U.S. visa holders who support the Hamas terrorist group to leave the country.

“U.S. visa holders who support Hamas’ terrorism have no place here. It’s time to leave,” he said on social media.

Rubio previously urged U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to revoke visas of anyone who “embraced or endorsed” Hamas’ actions.

“America is the most welcoming country in the world. During Fiscal Year 2022 alone, we issued more than six million nonimmigrant visas,” Rubio said. “However, the privilege of entering and staying in our great country is not afforded to those who wish to do us harm or advocate on behalf of Hamas.”

“I urge you to immediately use existing law to eradicate this hate from our country,” he said.

Rubio joined fellow Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott in taking a hard stand on supporting Israel early on.

“I am disgusted by this antisemitism and anti Israel attitude that we’re seeing in Florida, across the country, and across the world,” Scott said on social media.

“We have got to call out anybody as antisemitic or anti-Israel. I will do everything in my power as U.S. Senator to continue to condemn antisemitism and to support our great ally Israel,” he added.

The response came as Gov. Ron DeSantis recently called on President Joe Biden to deport foreign students in America who support Hamas.

“No one has a right to come to our country,” DeSantis said. “If foreign students are out there celebrating Hamas’ atrocities, they should have their visas canceled and be deported.”

DeSantis has also vowed to himself deport Hamas supporting foreign nationals if he became president in 2025.
