TAMPA, Fla. (FLV) – Conservative grassroots activist Scott Presler, in continuing efforts to register voters to help Republicans win elections across the country in 2024, said in his “spare time” he joins private Facebook groups to tell new residents how to register to vote.

“For example, ‘New to Tampa,'” he said.

Presler, known for always asking potential voters, “Are you registered to vote at your current address?” told his viewers that such private Facebook groups exist all across the country.

“When you move, you need to register to vote at your current address,” he said. “These private groups allow me entrance & then I have access to thousands of new movers.”

Presler urged other potential activists to go through a person’s profile who recently moved to a new location, and do searches like “Trump” or other hot button political terms to figure out that person’s potential political leanings.

“Once you have identified a conservative, BOTH add the person as a friend & send the person a message,” he said.

“Hey! Welcome to Tampa. Are you registered to vote at your current address? In Florida, you must be registered to vote as a Republican if you want to vote in Republican primaries. [Include the link to register online for Florida.] Let me know if you have any questions,” Presler continued.

In one example, Presler messaged a new resident of Tampa, Florida who moved from New York to “escape commies during the lockdowns,” to which Presler proceeded to ask, “Are you registered to vote at your current address.”

The person replied affirmatively, and said he would also remind his siblings who moved to Florida, potentially creating several new GOP voters off of one interaction.

“This is the way,” Presler said.

The activist launched a new political action committee earlier this year that will target early and mail-in voting to help Republicans win future elections.

The PAC aims to increase absentee voting and early voting participation, beginning with the key 2024 swing states of Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Presler’s efforts helped flip Florida and New York counties from blue to red, which directly impacted Republicans winning the House in 2022. He previously made headlines after traveling across the U.S. for the 2022 election season, including touring Florida in April, to bolster party registration in hopes of driving home a red wave.

“If Republicans wait to vote on Election Day in November 2024, I firmly believe we will lose. Democrats vote for weeks, while Republicans vote for 12 hours. If we want to make Joe Biden a one-term president, we must engage in an all-of-the-above approach to voting.”

Presler will appear on Florida’s Voice UNFILTERED live talk shows in July, in both Naples and Tampa.
