Scott Presler suspends 304-day effort to get in contact with outgoing RNC Chair McDaniel

WASHINGTON, D.C. – With the impending resignation of Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, conservative activist Scott Presler has “suspended” an effort lasting nearly one year to get in contact with her.

Presler is one of the highest profile social media-present activists seeking to register Republicans and benefit the national Republican Party.

Despite his efforts, the party leadership hasn’t given Scott airtime or collaboration.

In the wake of the 2022 midterm GOP losses and off last year’s news of President Joe Biden’s team creating an army of “influencers” to help reelect the president, Presler launched an effort to push McDaniel to do something similar.

“I know that President Biden has an ‘army of influencers,’ who are dedicated to reaching the youth. Is there any plan to have an alternative team for the GOP?” Presler said on April 15, 2023. “I’d also like to make the humble suggestion that you do a Twitter space. Thank you for listening.”

A day later, Presler followed up, asking McDaniel to “share the plan for how the GOP is going to attract more youth voters.”

“We look forward to your response,” Presler said, in response to his post that has now garnered over six million views and nearly 60,000 likes.

From there, Presler replied to the post every day, for 304 days.

On Monday, news broke of McDaniel’s announcement of her resignation, which will occur in early March, as first reported by the New York Times.

“Some of my proudest accomplishments include firing Nancy Pelosi, winning the popular vote in 2022, creating an Election Integrity Department, building the committee’s first small dollar grassroots donor program, strengthening our state parties through our Growing Republican Organizations to Win program, expanding the Party through minority outreach at our community centers, and launching Bank Your Vote to get Republicans to commit to voting early,” McDaniel said in a statement, per NBC.

“This thread [of X posts] is now officially suspended,” Presler said.

Former President Donald Trump, on his way to the GOP nomination for president, is pushing for Michael Whatley to be the next RNC chair. Whatley is the chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party.

Trump also is pushing for Laura Trump, his daughter-in-law, to be RNC co-chair.

Presler is the founder of the Early Vote Action PAC, which aims to bolster GOP early voting and mail-in turnout, a prime voting method that dragged Republicans behind in 2020 and 2022.

The activist endorsed Trump for president in January.
