TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida House Speaker-Designate Daniel Perez, R-Miami, on Thursday pledged a $50,000 donation to the Republican Party of Florida.

The pledge comes after other state leaders have pledged large donations.

“As speaker-designate, and throughout my term as speaker, I look forward to joining Chairman Power and the RPOF to support our collective mission of continuing to maintain and grow our majority in the Florida House and support all Republican candidates on the upcoming November ballot, ” Perez said.

Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson and Senate President-Designate Ben Albritton, R-Bartow, recently pledged $100,000 each to the state party.

“The RPOF is extremely grateful for the support of Speaker-Designate Danny Perez,” party Chairman Evan Power said. “With this important commitment, support and leadership of Speaker Designate Danny Perez, we Republicans will continue to grow our voter registration advantage over Democrats, currently over 825,000 and counting, while fighting for the conservative principles that have made Florida a national beacon of freedom.”

Perez was selected last September to be House speaker for the 2025 and 2026 legislative sessions, and will assume the role this November.

Since Power took over, Republicans have broken a state-level registration lead over Democrats to over 800,000.

And as of Thursday, that lead is nearing 830,000.

“Florida is a red state because we have put in the work consistently to ensure conservative leaders who deliver results are supported,” Simpson said in January. “With Evan’s leadership, I am confident the RPOF and the hardworking grassroots army will execute the fundamentals necessary to win in November, and I am eager to ensure they have the resources they need.”

“We cannot afford to take any election for granted,” Albritton said last month. “Electing strong conservative leaders at every level of government requires hard work and a dedicated team to drive registration, get out the vote and secure the victory.”
