WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (FLV) – Former President Donald Trump slammed Fox News and the federal indictment brought against him by the Department of Justice in a series of social media posts.

The former president alleged that the sole reason for his indictment is his lead in “virtually every poll.”

“They weaponized the DOJ & FBI,” Trump said on Truth Social. “I am beating Crooked Joe Biden in virtually every poll, and easily beat him in the last election, but the election was RIGGED.”

Trump was federally indicted earlier in June and charged with 37 counts related to alleged mishandling of documents and classified materials as well as obstruction related charges.

In the same post, Trump took a jab at Fox News and said the network’s Doug Schoen “should get a new playbook.”

“In 2016 it was the same thing, spewed from the mouths of the same failed pundits and losers,” Trump said. “They said I couldn’t beat Hillary – How did that work out??? Doug Schoen of Fox News should get a new playbook!”

In another Truth Social post, Trump called the indictment a “badge of honor.”

“If the very corrupt Democrats truly wanted to run against me, I wouldn’t have been indicted,” Trump alleged. “It is all a badge of honor and courage. I am being indicted for you!!!”

Trump’s intensified attacks on the indictment come as Special Counsel Jack Smith, the man in charge of the documents case, requested the trial date be delayed until December.
