WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (FLV) – At former President Donald Trump’s campaign speech to Club 45 in West Palm Beach, the 2024 presidential candidate reiterated his agenda for if he retakes the White House and tossed jabs at Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Club 45 is a nonprofit fan club of Trump. They introduced a new name for the club in honor of Trump’s candidacy: “Club 47.”

Trump reflected on the state of the economy under the Biden administration and said the economy was “strong” before Biden took over.

“We had to put money out to keep this thing going, we did it, we did it well,” he said. “We kept the economy going, and we ended up strong – and then they’ve destroyed this economy.”

The former president also touched on the Russia-Ukraine war, declaring he could foster a peace agreement within “24 hours.”

“From the night I won, I’d call two people. You know who the two people are? Putin […] and Zelensky. And I’d say, ‘We’re gonna meet,'” he said. “I’d tell one guy this, and I’d tell one guy that, and I’d say, ‘You better make a deal.'”

“We would have a deal made in 24 hours,” Trump said, having long-called for peace in the region.

Trump also reiterated elements of his 2024 agenda, including targeting sex transition surgeries, sexual indoctrination in public schools, men participating in women’s sports, clearing out federal agencies, stopping ‘big tech’ collusion with government, and more.

Not long into the former president’s speech to supporters, DeSantis’ name came up in reference to crowd sizes. DeSantis recently toured several blue cities to speak to law enforcement.

“Ron DeSanctimonious had a crowd in Staten Island today – 139 people in Staten Island […] We got a lot of people here […] I always say, hit your enemy a little bit early,” Trump said.

Trump also reflected on the 2022 midterm blowout DeSantis was host to against Democrat Charlie Crist: “I did get 1.2 million more votes than Ron […] The press refuses to mention it […] Ron did good in Florida, but I did great.”

Both Trump and DeSantis won Florida in their last elections; Trump won by around 3 points, and DeSantis by around 19.

DeSantis has repeatedly dismissed or laughed off attacks from Trump and other GOP figures.
