Trump picks up over 150 endorsements in Iowa
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (FLV) – Former President Donald Trump has garnered endorsements from more than 150 elected officials and grassroots leaders spanning across all 99 counties in Iowa as the 2024 campaign ramps up.
Trump State Director Marshall Moreau expressed his appreciation for those who made the decision to endorse the former president.
“These grassroots leaders have long fought for the America First Movement and are just the beginning of an army that President Trump is building to win the First-in-the-Nation Republican caucuses,” he said.
The former president has also continued to pick up endorsements from Florida.
DeSantis has yet to formally announce a run for the presidency.
Amid a recent visit to D.C. by DeSantis to meet with lawmakers, congressional Republicans have increasingly aligned themselves with Trump.
Reps. Byron Donalds, Cory Mills, Matt Gaetz, Anna Paulina Luna, John Rutherford, Vern Buchanan, Greg Steube, Brian Mast, Gus Bilirakis, Carlos Gimenez, and Michael Waltz have publicly declared their support for the former president.
In total, over 50 Republicans in Congress have endorsed Trump.
Trump was also scheduled to hold a rally in Des Moines on May 13, but was forced to postpone the event due to potential tornadoes in the city and its surrounding areas.
Although the Trump campaign has yet to publicly release any future rally dates, the former president took to his Truth Social account promising a return.
“Stay tuned, we will reschedule soon,” Trump said. “Be safe out there!”
