WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Former President Donald Trump said President Joe Biden should be removed from office under the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Trump cited “Afghanistan, Self Imposed Inflation, Energy Independence, the Horrors of the Open Border, NO VOTER I.D., & now, 6 Billion Dollars for 5 Hostages from Iran” as reasons to remove Biden.

“I ASK, WHY HASN’T THE REPUBLICAN PARTY BEGUN THE PROCESS OF INVOKING THE 25th AMENDMENT AGAINST THE WORST & MOST INCOMPETENT PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES, CROOKED JOE BIDEN?” Trump said. “With these facts, they would have done it to us long ago!”

Section four of the 25th Amendment holds that the vice president and a majority of the president’s Cabinet must declare Biden unfit for office.

A president has been removed several times under the amendment, which in other sections involves the president’s death or resignation.

Republicans have recently begun the early stages of an impeachment inquiry into Biden, as announced last week by U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.

“Through our investigations, we have found that President Biden did lie to the American people about his own knowledge of his family’s foreign business dealings,” McCarthy said. “Regardless of your party, or who you voted for, these facts should concern all Americans.”

Trump, intending to face off against Biden in the 2024 general election again, recently hit an all-time national polling high in the RealClearPolitics polling average. He also leads the Republican presidential primary field by wide margins, on average.

As of mid-September, Trump rested at an average national vote share of 45.6% while President Joe Biden has 45%, handing Trump a narrow 0.6% lead.

Notably, poll tracking has shown Trump spiked in support from late-August, jumping from around 43% support to nearly 46% in just under a month. For the same time period, Biden has remained stable.

The spike began just around Aug. 25, the time when Trump had his historic mugshot taken in a Georgia criminal case against him.

Trump’s mug shot came out of Fulton County, where he faces 13 criminal charges relating to allegations of trying to overturn the 2020 election.

Those charges include conspiracies to commit false statements, file false documents, commit forgery and to impersonate a public officer, along with making false statements and writings, filing false documents, soliciting the violation of oath by a public officer, and violating Georgia racketeering law.

Trump’s Georgia arraignment involves his fourth indictment since leaving office.

The other indictments include two investigations from Washington, D.C. Special Counsel Jack Smith surrounding classified documents and the events of Jan. 6, 2021, along with charges from New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg surrounding alleged hush money payments to a porn star.
