TALLAHASSEE (FLV) – Tuesday, Oct. 11 marks the final day Floridians can register to cast their vote in the 2022 Midterm Election.

Florida Secretary of State Cord Byrd reminded Floridians of the deadline and met with the Supervisors of Elections in some Hurricane Ian-impacted areas like Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee, DeSoto, Hardee and Hendry counties.

The Department of State said that impacted areas are being worked with to ensure voter registration resources are located in Disaster Recovery Centers.

“If you are not registered to vote and are eligible to do so, I encourage you to register by the October 11 deadline that is fast approaching,” Byrd said. “There are many convenient ways to register to vote in the state of Florida. You can contact your Supervisor of Elections office to learn where you can register in person, or you can register online at RegistertoVote.gov, the Department of State’s secure and easy to navigate website. The Department of State’s top priority this election season is to maintain the integrity of our elections so that you can exercise your right to vote.”

Voters in affected counties can find election resources on our Hurricane Ian Election Resources page.

The Voter Assistance Hotline will be available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. EDT on Saturday, October 8 to Monday, October 10 and from 8 a.m. to midnight on Tuesday, October 11. Voters who have questions about how to register to vote or who need assistance using RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov can contact the Voter Assistance Hotline at 1-866-308-6739 or [email protected].
