LAKELAND (FCV) – Sunday, the Twitter account PublixHelps said that Publix “will not move forward with implementing OSHA’s emergency temporary standard,” which would require employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or commit to regular testing.

Publix is referencing a ruling by the United States Supreme Court that struck down President Joe Biden’s (D) vaccine-or-test mandate on private employers with 100 or more employees.

Conservatives are taking a victory lap on the issue. Republicans like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have consistently taken an anti-vaccine mandate stance and believed that Biden’s federal mandate is unconstitutional.
