WASHINGTON, D.C. (FLV) – Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody said the Biden administration has “purposefully” dismantled the U.S.’s public safety immigration structures at the border.

Title 42 was set to expire this week, which would potentially fuel a massive border surge. On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court temporarily paused the order that would lift Title 42 after many states have argued that lifting it would lead to a large influx of migrants into their states.

The measure is a policy under which millions of immigrants have been turned away at the border to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Border crossings reportedly topped 2.76 million in 2022, breaking previous records by over one million.

Moody spoke to Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo and said she has “uncovered so much evidence” that the Biden administration has “purposefully” dismantled the U.S.’s immigration structures.

“Through litigation, over the last two years since Biden took office, I have uncovered so much evidence that shows this administration has purposefully dismantled our public safety immigration structures at the border,” said Moody. “First they stopped deporting people, they do away with ‘remain in Mexico,’ they purposefully decrease the detention capabilities at the border and then throw up their hands and say ‘we have to release every one because we have not enough detention capabilities’ and which is, by the way, in direct violation of federal law.”

Moody said her “greatest fear” is that the administration will “blame” the “chaos and catastrophe” at the border on the rescission of Title 42.

“They’ve been doing this all along and my greatest fear, Maria, and you’ve probably seen this leading up to this week, is they’re going to blame the rescission of Title 42 for the chaos and catastrophe that we’re seeing at the border when in reality, it began when this president was sworn in and he abdicated all responsibility for protecting the sovereignty of this nation,” said Moody.
