WASHINGTON, D.C. – Florida Republican Rep. Cory Mills came out against the Biden administration’s decision to move forward with a deal exchanging frozen Iranian money, and releasing five Iranians, for the Middle Eastern state to release five American citizens.

The deal would include the authorization of international banks to send $6 billion in froze Iranian money from South Korea without any U.S. sanctions.

“I vehemently oppose this decision that will ultimately fund terrorist activities against Americans and our allies,” Mills said. “This is Obama 2.0 and the same policy failures that resulted in Iran’s advancements in nuclear weapon technology, uranium enrichment, and billions to Iran in the failed JCPOA.”

Mills continued, calling the current presidential administration the “Obiden regime” and slammed the U.S. for embarrassing itself.

“Biden is now releasing $6B to a terroristic regime who’s politically aligned to China while ignoring the 9/11 anniversary sites on what is the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history,” he said.

“This is the most corrupt and compromised administration in America’s history and he’s out to destroy America. He MUST be removed immediately!”

On impeachment, U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., will reportedly endorse beginning an impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden, per Fox News.

The expected move on impeachment from McCarthy comes after years of relentless calls from Republicans against Biden, but also as criticisms have ramped up against the Republican speaker for perceived inaction against the president.

Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz recently floated intentions to file a motion to vacate McCarthy from his seat as speaker, which would only require a simple majority of the House to succeed.
