TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (FLV) – Gov. Ron DeSantis will meet with law enforcement officers in New York City, Philadelphia, and Chicago this week to share Florida’s “blueprint” for keeping communities safe.

On Monday, the governor will meet with police officers and law enforcement union officials at a diner in Staten Island, according to reports.

During a stop on Monday, DeSantis called out George Soros for funding “woke” prosecutor Andrew Warren.

“Is it just the rule of one woke prosecutor that happens to get elected with George Soros’ campaign contributions? I want the rule of law,” he said.

“On Staten Island, we are proud to support our law enforcement,” said Assemblyman Mike Tannousis, the Staten Island GOP chairman. “I’m happy that our law enforcement community will get some recognition and support.”

He will meet with sheriffs, chiefs of police, and other local law enforcement officials in Fort Washington, a Philadelphia suburb, and Elmhurst, Illinois, near Chicago.

Florida is experienced a 50-year record low crime rate, and year-over-year crime in Florida is down nearly 10%, according to the governor’s office.

The governor previously enacted the most pro-law enforcement policy package in the nation. The legislation encourages Floridians to join the law enforcement profession and incentivizes out-of-state law enforcement professionals to bring their skills to the Sunshine State.

DeSantis’ latest “Framework for Freedom Budget,” includes $124.3 million to provide salary increases for law enforcement across various public safety agencies, on top of the 5% statewide pay increase.

The governor is launching a new book on Feb. 28 outlining how his policies in Florida are a “battle-tested blueprint for America’s revival.”

“What Florida has done is establish a blueprint for governance that has produced tangible results while serving as a rebuke to the entrenched elites who have driven our nation into the ground. Florida is proof positive that we, the people are not powerless in the face of these elites,” DeSantis wrote.
