WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – One year from the 2024 election, former President Donald Trump breached another all-time high against President Joe Biden.

The new peak comes just under two months from the start of the official election year.

Aggregated by RealClearPolitics, the Nov. 7 average of national polling handed the former president a 1.4% lead over Biden.

In a matchup with Biden, the average of nearly a dozen national polls found that Trump would have 46% of the vote while Biden would have 44.6%.

He is significantly outpacing his performance during this same time period in the 2020 election cycle.

While Trump’s 46% is a new high for this cycle, his margin is not. Earlier this year, Trump led Biden by over 2%, though his overall national support was slightly lower.

Trump recently hit a 2024 high among Republican primary polling as well, the same metric found.

As of Nov. 8, Trump has an average 58.3% national primary support, followed by Gov. Ron DeSantis at 14.6% and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley at 9.4%.

Trump’s wide lead in the primary remains as the first voting will begin during the Iowa caucus for Republicans on Jan. 15, 2024.

The former president’s performance also comes off the heels of multiple Republican defeats during Tuesday’s elections. However, the Trump-endorsed Mississippi gubernatorial candidate kept that position red.
