FORT MYERS, FL – Sunday night, Florida State Representative Anna V. Eskamani (D) tweeted a photo of her interns in a group photo. They were not wearing masks.

The Florida Democrat is being heavily criticized on social media because of the photo contradicting her prior statement relating to masks.

Sunday morning, Eskamani tweeted, “Horrifying, and a reminder of why we need to #GetVaccinated, #MaskUp, and take care of one another.” At the dinner, her team did not wear masks.

Brendon Leslie, Editor in Chief and Founder of Florida’s Conservative Voice, uploaded an Instagram post mocking the Democrat’s mask-free photo. In response, she exclaimed, “Thanks for the exposure and opportunity to share CDC guidelines on what fully vaccinated people can do.”

In a seeming reversal, she no longer believes in wearing a mask under certain conditions; prior, she commanded her followers to “#MaskUp.”

Conservatives usually oppose the mandating and/or wearing of masks in public, especially when outdoors, vaccinated, or distanced. However, they have made a habit of calling out left-wing hypocrisy on the mask issue.

Democrat leaders have long encouraged and mandated the wearing of masks, even for vaccinated individuals.

The “rules for thee but not for me” mindset has been heavily criticized by members of the right since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
