WASHINGTON (FLV) – Former President Donald Trump endorsed Florida’s 7th Congressional District Republican nominee Cory Mills on Monday.

Mills is a decorated U.S. Army combat veteran and a Bronze Star recipient. He was a Trump appointee to the Pentagon as a Department of Defense advisor. Mills is also an entrepreneur who co-founded PACEM Solutions International LLC.

Trump said, “A wonderful patriot, Cory Mills, is running for Congress in Florida’s 7th Congressional District as a Pro-America, Pro-Law Enforcement, and Pro-Trump Champion for our beloved Make America Great Again movement.”

“When everyone else is running away from the tough fights, Cory Mills is willing to stay back and fight. He loves our Country, loves the Great State of Florida, and he will never let us down. Cory Mills has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

Mills responded to the announcement saying, “Thank you Pres. Trump for your endorsement. We will flip this seat and take back the House.”

In the Nov. 8 Midterm Election, Mills will face off against Democrat candidate Karen Green. Green is a political strategist, campaign manager, and mediator. Green is the Vice-Chair of the Florida Democrat Party and is an Ambassador-at-Large with the United Nations.

The newly-drawn 7th Congressional District is north of Orlando and covers parts of Winter Springs, New Smyrna Beach, Sanford, and Deltona. Politico reports the district leans slightly Republican.
