MIAMI (FLV) – Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, known for creating the musical “Hamilton,” campaigned with Florida Democrats in Miami ahead of the 2022 midterm election.

The purpose of the event, according to the website, is to “ensure Latinos are ready to vote and elect Democrats this November.”

Miranda spoke at the event with Democrat candidate for Congress Annette Taddeo and Democrat candidate for governor Charlie Crist’s running mate Karla Hernandez-Mats.

“A huge crowd showed up this morning to get out the vote. We are ready to win!” said Hernandez-Mats.

The campaign stop is not the first for Miranda. He was seen campaigning for Beto O’Rourke in Houston earlier in the week.

Miranda also attended a campaign event for Sen. Raphael Warnock in Atlanta Wednesday.
