HD 29 Recount Expected as Webster Barnaby Leads by Thin Margin

DAYTONA BEACH (FLV) – The House District 29 race between Republicans Webster Barnaby and Elizabeth Fetterhoff is too close to call after preliminary results show about a couple dozen votes separating the two.

Election results show Barnaby leading Fetterhoff by 31 votes. Barnaby received 7,446 votes while Fetterhoff received 7,415.

The Volusia Supervisors of Elections Office will conduct a hand recount and the results could be revealed by the end of the week.

The new redistricting maps pitted the two current state representatives against each other. The Republican nominee will face Democrat Rick Karl in November.
