Miami Young Republicans endorse Donald Trump: ‘Proven champion’

MIAMI – The Miami Young Republicans endorsed former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election, praising him as America’s “proven champion.”

“With our endorsement, President Trump has in his corner the most experienced YR leadership team in America, influential operatives and veterans of numerous campaigns for President, Senate, Congress, and state level offices,” the group said.

The group’s president, Tony Figueroa, said the vote was unanimous.

“[It’s] an example of what the entire Republican Party around the country must exemplify: unity,” Figueroa said. “The primary is over and all Republicans across the country must unite in support of President Trump.

The Republican group said 2024 will be “the most consequential election in our nation’s history.”

“President Trump has proven himself a champion for the American people,” said Armando Ibarra, the group’s chairman. “He stands as a bulwark against the corrupt Washington elite, unyielding in the face of constant attacks, defying the rules of a rotten political establishment, embodying the strength we admire in a leader.”

“His commitment to our national interest, the American worker, economic opportunity, and prosperity is unwavering,” he said.

Miami Young Republicans Vice President Jaime Figueras slammed Democrats for “politiciz[ing] our justice system.”

“But we are not deterred,” Figueras said. “They will not stop President Trump nor will they stop us in our quest to retake the White House and drain the DC Swamp.”

This week, Trump also gained the support of South Florida Republican Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart.
