WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said on Friday he is calling out the Democrats, members of Congress and members of the media for downplaying the border crisis.

To do so, Judd said he is waving the “BS flag,” the acronym for a less-than-polite phrase to call out false information.

“Some of the mainstream media, some of the politicians, some of the elites are telling us every day – and they’re saying this often enough, hoping we’ll believe it […] they tell us there isn’t a border crisis,” Judd said. “Have you all heard that? There isn’t a border crisis?”

“I say BS, so I’ve got – a BS flag. So – I throw the BS flag on that,” he said. “Then they tell us – the border is secure. BS! It’s not secure.”

“Governor, you have to deal with a whole lot of BS – I’ve got to your very own, personally autographed BS flag,” the sheriff said, to which DeSantis joked the flag would “go for a lot on ebay.”

As part of his presentation Friday, where DeSantis signed three anti-illegal immigration bills, Judd showed pictures for the “slow learners” to decipher what a “secure” and unsecure border looks like.
