Report: White House to Single Out Florida in Fear of Potential DeSantis 2024 Run

Wednesday, Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec reported that the Biden White House plans to “single out” Florida in regards to COVID-19 cases and will call for new lockdowns.

Citing a White House official, Posobiec said that the White House plans to say that “Florida has been crippled” to attack Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R). They reportedly see DeSantis as a potential contender for the U.S. President in 2024.

It is unclear what indicators point to a vision of a “crippled” Florida. Although COVID-19 cases are up in Florida, they are up across the board, and Florida hospitalizations and deaths have barely changed.

The Democrats’ attempt to blame Governor DeSantis for COVID upticks in Florida is being called out by conservatives, who point out the strong data indicators that Florida has seen through the entire pandemic despite never fully closing down.

Recently, DeSantis has polled overwhelmingly as the number one choice for the 2024 Republican nominee for President if Donald Trump does not run. With Trump running, he is the second choice.

DeSantis has also polled well ahead of Nikki Fried and Charlie Crist, the two major Democrat hopefuls for the 2022 Florida Gubernatorial Election.

These strong polling numbers and a prospering Florida economy and health numbers in the face COVID-19 are likely reasons as to why the Biden Administration feels threatened by the rising GOP star.
