Republicans hold onto party-focused seats in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Local elections took place Tuesday night in locations across Orange County in Central Florida.

Ocoee

For Ocoee City Commission District 4, Republicans endorsed Nate Robertson while Democrats backed George Oliver, who was running for reelection. Oliver narrowly won the race.

Apopka

In the Apopka City Council Seat 3, the Republicans backed Nadia Anderson over Darryl Richardson. Anderson won the race.

The Apopka City Council Seat 4 race was between Republicans Nick Nesta and Eric Mock. Ultimately, Nesta won that election.

Winter Garden

Winter Garden City Commission District 3 involved GOP-backed Chloe Johnson and Democratic-backed Karen McNeil. Johnson won the race.

Winter Park

The Winter Park City Commission Seat 2 was up for grabs, between Republican-endorsed Stockton Reeves, Jason Johnson and Craig Russell. Russell won the race.
