WASHINGTON, D.C. – Republican National Committee Cochair Lara Trump announced she will soon be contacting conservative activist Scott Presler to set up a “legal ballot harvesting division” with Presler playing a major role.

The announcement comes just after the outage of old RNC leadership and as Presler has pleaded with the national party for months to allow him to play a larger role in reaching voters through nontraditional means, such as ballot “chasing” and “harvesting.”

Trump made the announcement on Benny Johnson’s show.

“I’m going to have a call very soon with Scott Presler, who is in an amazing vote register. He has registered so many people in this country. I think he’s fantastic. I want him on our legal ballot harvesting division,” Trump said. “We also have to embrace early voting.”

Presler responded on Friday, saying, “Let me show love by taking positive action.”

“Oh my gosh. We can do this. Let’s come together as a family & save the country we love. Right now, we’re a scheduling voter registration drives at gun shows, places of worship, rodeos, farmers markets, & other venues across the USA,” Presler said.

“I know we want one day of voting in this country. It doesn’t exist right now. We’ve got to bank enough votes going into Nov. 5 – that we’re not playing catch up on election day. We need to swamp the system,” Trump said.

Johnson chimed in with excitement that the party leadership will embrace Presler’s efforts after months of him getting no response.

“He is the first person I thought of whenever this the whole idea of the RNC was floated to me,” she said. “I said, if I ended up there, if I’m cochair of the RNC, I want to bring him in. Because what a job that guy has done. Not only should he be rewarded for it, but we want to give them more jobs to do up until November 5, and then well beyond.”

Presler is one of the highest profile social media-present activists seeking to register Republicans and benefit the national Republican Party.

Despite his efforts, the party leadership hasn’t given Scott airtime or collaboration.

Presler is the founder of the Early Vote Action PAC, which aims to bolster GOP early voting and mail-in turnout, a prime voting method that dragged Republicans behind in 2020 and 2022.

The activist endorsed former President Donald Trump for president in January.
