TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Republican Party of Florida’s party registration apparatus has made strong gains since the start of 2024, when Chairman Evan Power began his tenure on Jan. 8.

At the time, the GOP had around 5.14 million voters and led the Democrats by just under 780,000 voters.

As of June 24, the party now leads Democrats by 942,125 voters – a lead expansion under Power of 162,424.

While the lead has gained, so has the GOP’s total voter tally.

The GOP has over 5.24 million voters as of June 24, an increase since the start of the year of around 100,000 voters.

That’s in stark contrast to the Democrats, who began the year with 4.36 million voters and have since declined to below 4.3 million – an exact decrease of 62,462 registered voters.

“The Florida GOP is unified and ready to deliver Florida in a big way,” Power told Florida’s Voice. “We have delivered thousands and thousands of copies electioneering material to our counties, registered a staggering amount of voters, and raising a significant amount of money.”

During the first quarter of 2024, the GOP raised over $3 million while the Democrats raised around $1.3 million.

But since March 31, Power told Florida’s Voice the GOP has raised around $9 million.

“I am grateful for the joint commitment of our elected officials and grassroots to work together to win Florida and win it big!” Power said.

Shortly after Power took the GOP’s reins, donors from state leaders began pouring into the party’s war chest.

Agriculture Commissioner Wilton SimpsonHouse Speaker Paul Renner and Senate President-Designate Ben Albritton gave $100,000 each to the party earlier this year.

Other recent donors include House Speaker-Designate Daniel Perez, who gave $50,000, and Rep. Tom Leek, who donated $25,000.
