WASHINGTON, D.C. (FLV) – The Republican Party of Florida said Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried “should be embarrassed” for hosting DNC Chair Jaime Harrison at an evening reception in support of the party’s Grassroots Victory Fund.

“Desperate Nikki Fried should be embarrassed to host do-nothing DNC Chair Jaime Harrison, who ignored Florida Democrats during the midterms, but is getting off the couch for once to attend a (socially distanced?) fundraiser to try to save the job of the worst president in decades,” the Florida GOP said.

The Florida GOP shared an invitation on Twitter to an evening reception in support of the Democratic Grassroots Victory Fund from Fried, which said all attendees must comply with COVID-19 protocols in order to attend.

The Florida GOP said “they should probably just do their part and stay at home.”

Harrison supports President Joe Biden and has expressed confidence that he will win reelection in 2024.

The Florida GOP pointed to Biden’s “concerningly low” approval rating at 38%, close to the lowest point of his presidency, according to a poll from a report

The party also pointed to Biden’s “uncomfortably high inflation, record-breaking border crisis and multiple foreign policy failures.”

Harrison failed to vote in the 2022 South Carolina Democrat primary election.

The Florida GOP said the DNC “sat out Florida” during the November 2022 election.

After a red tsunami hit Florida in November, Democrats were in a state of “disorder.”

The Washington Post said according to interviews with more than a dozen organizers, former lawmakers, donors and other leaders, Democrats in Florida have no clear plan for a leader, infrastructure, or consensus for rebuilding the party.
