MIAMI (FLV) – Democrat candidate for governor Charlie Crist’s reported running mate Karla Hernandez-Mats is seen on video getting physical with someone recording her and asking her questions.

In the video, Hernandez-Mats is approached by a man asking her questions.

“Are you Karla Mats? Are you Karla Mats? This lady needs to be fired,” he says before Mats quickly buts in, swipes at his hand, and pushes him back: “Bro, who the h*** are you?!”

The man is pushed backward, heard saying, “Battery, battery, battery, arrest her. Yo, she just battered me, I have it on camera!”

Linda Catalina posted the video on Instagram in Dec. 2021, saying, “Wow the ghetto… is this the same person who has maliciously accused parents of Dade County of being extremists?!?!! Shocker!” Catalina did not record the video herself.

“Karla and the teachers union is also working with local alt left groups to intimidate parents and citizens of Miami Dade so they don’t show up to meetings,” she went on.

Catalina told Florida’s Voice that the video was taken at a school board meeting where parents were protesting masks.

Florida’s Voice reported that Hernandez-Mats depicted parents concerned about school mask and vaccine mandates, among other COVID-19 restrictions, as popular horror figures armed with weapons.

Charlie Crist’s reported running mate, Karla Hernandez-Mats, depicting parents attending school board meetings as famous horror characters armed with weapons.

Hernandez-Mats is the president of United Teachers of Dade, which is a teachers union in Miami. She Tweeted a picture of various famous horror characters in costumes with chainsaws and blades saying they are “going to a school board meeting.”

A month prior to that tweet, in September of 2021, the National School Boards Association sent a letter to President Joe Biden expressing concern over parents’ frustrations with lockdowns, school closures, mandates, and other hot-button issues that plagued schools coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The letter from the NSBA compared parents to “domestic terrorists.”
