FORT MYERS, Fla. (FLV) – Small businesses impacted by Hurricane Ian have until this Thursday, June 29 to apply for Small Business Administration, or SBA, Federal Economic Injury Disaster loans.

Apply here.

The loans are administered with low interest to approved organizations, homeowners and renters in regions affected by “natural disasters,” the administration says.

“SBA also provides eligible small businesses and nonprofit organizations with working capital to help overcome the economic injury of a declared disaster,” their website says.

Near-Category 5 Hurricane Ian at landfall caused more than $50 billion in insured damages.

To apply for federal relief, applicants must be in an SBA-declared disaster zone, apply for the loan and use their SBA account to check their status.
