WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Former President Donald Trump continued calls for replacing the Affordable Care Act, or “Obamacare,” during a second term of his presidency beginning in 2025.

“I don’t want to terminate Obamacare, I want to REPLACE IT with MUCH BETTER HEALTHCARE. Obamacare Sucks!” Trump said.

“Getting much better Healthcare than Obamacare for the American people will be a priority of the Trump Administration,” the former president said. “It is not a matter of cost, it is a matter of HEALTH. America will have one of the best Healthcare Plans anywhere in the world. Right now it has one of the WORST!”

Trump’s additional comments come after he reignited his “repeal and replace” platform this month.

He said earlier this week that the cost of Obamacare is “out of control.”

The former president’s note that he wants to “replace,” not “terminate” the program also follows President Joe Biden’s campaign indicating they plan to weaponize the platform against Trump.

Biden’s campaign rapid response director, Ammar Moussa, highlighted Trump’s statements on X, formerly Twitter.

“Donald Trump is right back to talking about repealing the Affordable Care Act,” Moussa said.

Biden also commented on Trump’s vows, as reported by the New York Times, saying “they just don’t give up.”

“My predecessor once again called for cuts that could rip away health insurance for tens of millions of Americans,” Biden said.

Trump in 2016 campaigned on a “repeal and replace” of Obamacare, making it a frequently used slogan throughout his platform.
