CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (FLV) – Former President Donald Trump is set to return to Iowa next week for a town hall hosted by Fox News anchor Sean Hannity.

Announced on Tuesday, the town hall event is set to be pre-recorded earlier in the day at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena. It will then be aired on Fox News Channel from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET on July 18.

Hannity is expected to probe Trump on topics such as the 2024 presidential race, immigration, the economy, and the overall state of the country. He will also field questions from the audience.

Trump’s return to Iowa comes amid the former president’s refusal to participate in a forum hosted by Tucker Carlson in the Hawkeye state.

Trump also recently criticized Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds over her “neutral” stance in the Republican primary.

“I opened up the Governor position for Kim Reynolds, & when she fell behind, I ENDORSED her, did big Rallies, & she won,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Monday. “Now, she wants to remain ‘NEUTRAL.’ I don’t invite her to events! DeSanctus down 45 points!”

Trump’s chief primary opponent, Gov. Ron DeSantis, came to the defense of Reynolds and called her a “strong leader.”

“Kim Reynolds is a strong leader who knows how to ignore the chirping and get it done,” DeSantis said on Twitter. “She earned a landslide re-election because she delivered big results, and she is poised to deliver even more for Iowans in the special session.
