TALLAHASSEE (FLV) –  Florida’s official tourism marketing corporation, VISIT FLORIDA, announced the launch of a new marketing campaign to promote tourism to the state following Hurricane Ian.

The campaign showcases recent footage of unaffected areas around the state in 14 destinations that are open and ready to welcome visitors now.

VISIT FLORIDA has allocated $2.7 million for the initial campaign launch, which will run in major U.S. origin markets on digital and social platforms through Oct. 31, 2022.

“Our marketing programs will help protect Florida’s tourism brand and demonstrate to visitors that Florida offers infinite vacation options. We appreciate Governor DeSantis’ leadership and support as we launch this innovative new campaign and invite visitors from around the world to our great state,” said VISIT FLORIDA’s President and CEO Dana Young.

A comprehensive recovery package for impacted areas will be developed in coordination with their local tourism leadership and will be ready for implementation when they are ready to welcome visitors, according to VISIT FLORIDA.
