MOUNT DORA, Fla. (FLV) – Former Republican state Rep. Anthony Sabatini announced he is running for U.S. Congress in Florida’s 11th District.

“Joe Biden is the most corrupt president in American history,” Sabatini said in a video. “His radical woke insane agenda must be stopped.”

In 2022, Sabatini unsuccessfully ran to represent Florida’s 13th Congressional District. U.S. Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., won against Sabatini in one of the state’s most contentious primary races.

Sabatini also served in the House of Representatives from 2018 to 2022.

“Send me to Congress and I’ll vote to build a wall, stop China from buying American land, and fight to enact Donald Trump’s America first agenda,” he said.

Sabatini is also the Lake County Republican Party Chair.

Incumbent for the district, U.S. Rep. Daniel Webster, R-Fla., said in a statement that he works hard to serve his constituents and is focused on tackling crises created by President Joe Biden.

“From ending the Democrats’ 100-year reign and ushering in the Republican leadership Florida’s enjoyed for 25 years, to taking on John Boehner and the Washington establishment and defending our Constitutional rights, sanctity of life and family values while getting millions returned to my constituents my record of fighting for our conservative values is clear,” Webster said. “I never take reelection for granted.”
