MIAMI (FLV) – Bryan E. Leib has been appointed to the Miami-Dade County Film and Entertainment Advisory Board.

County Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera of District 6 appointed Leib on Jan. 31.

“I have accumulated many relationships in the TV, film and radio industries over the last 15 years of my career,” Leib said. “I will put them to good use in this role and look forward to doing whatever I can to help attract more businesses to Miami-Dade county.”

“It’s a tremendous honor to be able to serve in this role. Thank you County Commissioner Cabrera for this opportunity,” he said.

The board is tasked to make recommendations on film and entertainment industries, and to “support and advance the interest and resources of the film and entertainment industry in Miami-Dade County.”

Leib is originally from Philadelphia and a current resident of Miami. He moved to the city in January 2022.

He took his official oath of office Thursday.

Before taking his new post, Leib was the Executive Director of the Iranian Americans for Liberty. He was also a commentator on TV and radio, along with serving on the advisory board of the Zionist Organization of America-Florida.

Previously, Leib served on the boards of several organizations including United Way, National Museum of American Jewish History, USA 250, and the Jewish National Fund.
