WASHINGTON, D.C. (FLV) – Advisors to President Joe Biden’s 2024 campaign believe they could snatch Florida’s electoral votes by campaigning against Gov. Ron DeSantis’ “Florida Blueprint,” CNN reported.

The campaign is reportedly flushing funds into Florida to potentially decide if the Sunshine State has a likelihood of going for Biden, handing the president 30 electoral votes and making his path to 270 considerably more likely.

The “Florida Blueprint” has been promoted since DeSantis’ landslide reelection in 2022.

His book, The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival launched Feb. 28, which launched a nationwide speaking tour touting his policies.

Former President Donald Trump won the state by over three points in the 2020 election against the current president, and DeSantis’ win in 2022 was not only host to high Republican turnout but also low Democrat turnout.

Since 2022, Florida Republicans utilized their supermajorities in the legislature to enact sweeping conservative policies like a six-week abortion ban, permitless carry, a continued battle with Disney over indoctrination of children with gender and sexual orientation teachings, anti-illegal immigration policies and more.

According to CNN, Biden’s team is using Florida as an “insurance policy strategy” in the event DeSantis is the 2024 nominee for the Republicans.

They are also reportedly banking on “memories” that “will have faded by next year” in regards to COVID-19 lockdown policies, a strong campaign message Republicans used across Florida in 2022.

Rumors and news reports speculate DeSantis could enter the presidential race later this week.
