WASHINGTON, D.C. (FLV) – Former President Donald Trump has joined the chorus of voices calling for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to step down from his leadership position in the aftermath of a purported medical incident.

Trump posted a video on Truth Social where McConnell is loudly booed whilst delivering a speech.

“I AGREE!” Trump said, referencing the senator being booed.

Last week, McConnell experienced a troubling moment during a podium address, where he froze in place and received assistance to leave the stage.

The incident has sparked debates not only about McConnell’s health but also about the tenure of senior politicians in leadership roles.

In a recent interview with Breitbart, Trump emphasized the need for fresh leadership in the Senate.

“We have some people in the Senate that are fantastic and would be great at that position,” Trump said, alluding to the potential of new generational leaders stepping up.

As the Senate minority leader’s position remains a crucial one in shaping the Republican Party’s direction and strategy, the debate surrounding McConnell’s leadership and potential successors will likely continue to generate discussions within the GOP.
